# Cydonia vs MonoCode

> Both are MIT-licensed desktop apps that run Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode and pi in tabs and panes. MonoCode is a Tauri app with worktrees, an editor and diff review; Cydonia speaks ACP and keeps articles and boards in the project.

MonoCode calls itself a GUI for your coding agents: every tab a session, panes side by side, a git worktree per parallel task. Cydonia runs agents the same way, in tabs and panes, and gives them articles and boards that stay in the project after the session ends.

## When to pick MonoCode

- You want an agent to drive the app itself, through `/operator`, or agents that work across projects with memory and scheduled tasks.

## When to pick Cydonia

- You want work handed to agents from a board: a card or a whole column goes to a session.
- You want what agents find kept as articles in the project, which every agent reads and writes through MCP.
- You want any agent that speaks ACP, not a list of supported CLIs.
